poetry night at the library in seguin …
ok juan I’ll try to come clean
i do want to contribute
even though i could never fill your shoes
for me in this time
what are key needs?
it is ubiquitous ecological knowledge
demilitarization & deweaponization
degrowth of the human condition
and meshing again with la naturaleza
a quasi-matriarchal campesino agrarianism
equity diversity inclusion
equity … absolutely necessary!

as i bicycle slowly though seguin tejas …
(i so wish we were truly deeply & fully friendly) …
as i bicycle slowly though seguin tejas
one quiet cool pleasant afternoon
i do feel deep love for those lively little squirrels
swifts sliding swiftly through the air
the sparrows chirping
and the white-wings pecking frantically
at the crushed pecans on the streets of clean seguin
(i love the east pecan bottom at starcke park)

back home at 605 elm
glistening green june beetles munch on ripe asian persimmons
numerous lady beetles & lacewing larvae having a meal
on aphids on the greens
anoles happy just a bumming around on rocks & branches
a cardinal is wildly chirping
the tree ducks are happy in their hallowed hollow pecan

And oh!!! listen
the stately state bird mocking us all
equity, equity, equity, equity
EQUITY … most of the Haves of demos don’t think about what it really means
equity … meeting the needs for all
equity …why does it ping around in my little mind
why do i write it so regularly? …
a de facto slick “coup” by a despicable flimflam
that many consider respectable
moral man immoral society?
did you just stop in to see what condition the human condition was in?
not so god. i mean good. i mean godly. i mean good!
we are good biota … and so despicable. moral man & immoral society
all of this life …
all of the life of seguin deserves equity
each organism needs need to be met
equitable life in an ecologically literate clean seguin
that is what juan would have wanted
that is what francis wanted
that’s what pablo wants
that’s what pablo wants all to want
that’s what the wise old owl who moaningly hoots regularly in our clean seguin neighborhood wants
equity … so worth smartly working for
that is what governments are for

my brother, the amazing mr. martin’s birthday
and i hope you didn’t just pray & play
but that you took action & had something significant to say
and saturday, april 26th, 2025 come on out to central park for a clean seguin eaarth day
and prod me in my exhibit to maybe begin to help lead the way
away from where we have very seriously & dangerously morally & ethically gone astray!
