confused? yes! (i’ve done a little bit of studying of philosophy and religion/the humanities; psychology.)
confused? that’s the human condition?
confused? some who supposedly loved him, thought my go(o)dly dad, who was not a religious church-goer, was going to hell?!!?
confused? mom st. lousie was certain neither dad nor i lived in hell nor would go to hell. she knew she guided us well and that we would be eternally OK!
confused? i am certain that the Truth is:
we are over carrying capacity,
we are drawing down on the natural resource base,
we should be living sabiamente/wisely, simply, smally, slowly, steadfastly, sharingly, and sustainably … and in solidarity,
we need PEACEcology across campuses and curricula,
the religious reliance on invisible and visible hands of Gods/demagogues, neoliberal capitalism, and the military-industrial complex, etc. are serious barriers to restoration/regeneration and conservation of resilient, sustainable ecological community, i.e., quality life for all including other species,
individually & collectively we aren’t abiding by principles of: the golden rule, pacifism, less is more, precaution, the second law of thermodynamics, agroecology, positively ethical applied community ecology, critical thinking & decision-making, humility*
confused? who’s to say that I am not spiritually enlightened???????
