I am truly a fortunate son

(Who wishes for more christians and not “Christians;”
Less Is More!)

I am crazy
But I am sane
And (for now) I know who I am

My father was a successful diversified and relatively sustainable small hog-farmer
In a developing but unsustainable agrilogistic world
Which continued and continues to develop agrilogistically and unsustainably
(And, as always in agrilogistics, … at War)
Five acres and five boys (and a girl)
(But no mule … except for Mr. Hutzler’s from time to time)
But with a peaceful saintly loving intelligent diligent wife
Worth much more than any other five-plus/-plus/-plus … wives
(Or five mules)

I have played many crazy games (taught, preached, politicked)
(And still do)
Acquired college degrees from “respected’ land-grant universities
Traveled places
Been in prestigious positions
Hobnobbed with hifalutin people
Received many (ephemeral) accolades
Lived through numerous livelihoods
(Lived with/put up with lots of BS)
But always with a sane eye on the prize
Of getting in good trouble
Of “Positive Ethical Applied Community Ecology”/PEACEmaking
And seeking out socio-ecological justice
……
I am truly a fortunate son
I am but the humble son of a successful small hog farmer
Who is very happy to be a member of that hog farming family
And to have a loving, intelligent, and supportive wife
And some supportive kids
In a relatively supportive ecological community
I am truly a fortunate son
Who but dreams and fights for PEACE and socio-ecological justice
